In teams of six to eight you invent a story, draw a storyboard and make the props you need. The subject is yours to choose. Then the real work starts: you are the characters on screen yourselves, and the film grows photo by photo until there are hundreds of them. Shift things slightly, hold the pose, click, repeat.
It only works if everyone knows exactly what they are doing and when. One frame where somebody is standing half a step too far, and the movement stutters on playback, so talking it through and taking your time pay off straight away. At the end you see the result in motion: a short film that would not exist without everyone’s contribution.
