The moment the case is activated, the clock is running. Your team has to defuse the ‘bomb’ through a series of tasks, puzzles and riddles that are linked to one another: what you take from one is what starts the next. Which means a discovery is worth nothing while it stays inside one person’s head. Handing over becomes as important as solving. Bit by bit, the case gives up its secrets.
There are four identical cases, and each one is played by a team of eight to fifteen participants. An experienced process facilitator can join the exercise as an option: observing the team dynamic, calling time-outs where useful, and afterwards going through how the communication and the organisation held up. That turns the game into a mirror of how you work together at the office.
